These last six years, I have had the privilege of supporting our incredible trainees as GME Coordinator. I’ve also been fortunate to collaborate with many of you on various professional and department-wide projects. I have witnessed your triumphs and have seen you overcome challenges. As a longtime member of the SHINE Committee, I am most passionate about staff engagement, inclusivity, and fostering a sense of belonging. We are a department of amazing, unique individuals whose contributions may not always be celebrated.
I would like to shine a light on each one of us. I believe that we will thrive as a department by truly hearing one another. I'm honored to be your voice.

I am the Equity & Justice Specialist for The Bixby Center, and ZSFG Ob-Gyn Division. I oversee activities to advance anti-racism, equity, inclusion, and structural change (AEISC) in our clinical care, research education, advocacy work, and I help lead our divisions Community Accountability Board. Over the last 10 years, I have been a part of countless working groups to create better work experiences for staff and to cultivate healthier work environments overall.
In my current role I serve as a mentor to many BIPOC staff members, I identify and roll out trainings, and I work to increase transparency and accountability in our AEISC work. I have built great rapport with both faculty and staff and have chosen to use my power and positionally to be a bridge, and to amplify the needs of staff (particularly underrepresented minorities), patients, and the communities we serve.
Some of my core values include integrity, collaboration, honesty, respect, transparency, accountability, and creativity. I show up as my whole self in this work, courageously having uncomfortable conversations, to create a culture where we all can be our authentic selves, be heard, feel valued, and thrive.
