UCSF Abortion Research Rapid Response Grant
August 8, 2022
In the wake of the US Supreme Court’s ruling to end the constitutional right to abortion, UCSF’s research in reproductive healthcare has never been more essential. With this rapid change in public health policy, there is a need to urgently initiate studies to assess the impact of abortion restrictions across the country and develop and expand strategies to improve reproductive healthcare. The UCSF Abortion Research Rapid Response Grant Program aims to support rapid response research at UCSF and invites proposals on a broad range of abortion-related research. More Information and application guidance can be viewed in the UCSF Abortion Research Rapid Response Grant RFA. Grant applications are due by Monday, August 29, 2022, at 5:00pm PT with an announcement of awards on Friday, September 16, 2022. We anticipate awarding up to four proposals total at two award levels: $25K and $50K.
This program is co-sponsored by the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, the CTSI Pilot Awards Program, the National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, the UCSF Research Development Office (RDO), the School of Medicine Research Evaluation and Allocation Committee (REAC), and the Academic Senate.
