Career Development

Ob, Gyn & RS's Faculty Development Program

Ob Gyn & RS's Faculty Development Program was launched in 2024 to promote the career development of our faculty, especially new and junior (all Assistant and early Associate Professor) faculty. This new program offers a presentation series related to topics of interest (education, giving & receiving feedback, financial planning, promotions & advancement, and more) as well as workshops for skill building in areas like CVs/Advance. The program focuses on the onboarding experience of our new and early career faculty, partnering with Divisions, the Faculty Mentoring program, and our Faculty Wellbeing leads to improve the experience of connection and support during the first years as a faculty member in the department. The program will be hosting a new faculty Happy Hour event this fall for our newest members to meet and build community while meeting some key leaders in the department. We will also be reaching out to faculty hired in recent years to learn more about their experiences and how to improve our systems and career development opportunities.

If you have questions or ideas, please reach out to Director of Faculty Development, Tushani Illangasekare, MD, who is supported in this work by Hilary Bunlert, Administrative Officer from the Chair's Office team.
